Abstract

A memo providing the basic message and strategy on immigration for progressive leaders.

Description

This memo is short form of our broader Message Memo on immigration. It is derived from an in-depth poll conducted Benenson Strategy Group in which we asked tough questions that tested our own values and beliefs in order to find the best way to win the immigration argument and pass meaningful reform. As this memo makes clear, we believe this is an issue in which progressives can win—both on the politics and the substance.
