Organization
Third Way is a non-profit, non-partisan strategy center for progressives. We are advancing a 21st century progressive agenda by working with elected officials, candidates and advocates to create policies and market those ideas in the public debate. Since our launch in January 2005, Third Way’s work on security, economics and culture has been used widely by progressive leaders and our impact noted extensively in the national media, including in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The New Yorker, Newsweek and on the NBC Evening News, The Today Show, Good Morning America, NPR and dozens of other outlets.
Our work is structured into three programs and focuses on the strategic application of ideas.
- The National Security Program
- The Middle Class Program
- The Culture Program
Management Team
Our senior team has decades of management, policy, political, communications and non-profit experience, including service as a federal agency Chief of Staff, presidential campaign communications director, Senate policy director, White House deputy and non-profit director, in addition to having founded three national advocacy groups. Third Way is also led by a prominent private sector Board of Trustees, drawn from finance, industry, academia, the non-profit sector and government.
